Mobile RF Surveys
A Mobile RF Survey provides a snapshot of the signal strength of all major mobile providers received at selected survey locations.
A typical survey will be undertaken in various locations on each floor of a building, to create an overall picture of which mobile networks provide the best or weakest signal throughout the building.
We will provide a report showing the signal strength for all the major providers at each survey location.
Why do I need a Mobile RF Survey?
A Mobile RF Survey can be used to establish which networks provide the best signal throughout a building, so you can select the network that will give you the most resilient voice and data communications.
The survey can also be used to establish which areas of the building need the signal from specific providers to be boosted, ensuring good coverage in areas that otherwise had poor signal, for example in basements or underground car parks.
Mobile RF Surveys can be useful if you are moving to new premises, considering changing mobile operator or if you are having issues with calls dropping or slow data on mobile devices.
You may also need a Mobile RF Survey if you are planning to acquire a Wiredscore building certification.
What can I do if my mobile signal is not very good?
We can install boosters that pick up the signal from the parts of the building with the best signal, and re-broadcast that signal to areas that have little or no signal.
Typically, we would install an antenna on the outside or roof of the building and route a cable from the antenna back to the booster, located where the signal is poor.
Even if the signal outside is only 1-3 bars on your mobile device, we can still provide 5 bars internally.
Which mobile providers are included in the survey?
We survey the four main network operators in the UK; O2, Vodafone, 3 (Three) & EE.
The other mobile providers piggyback off one of the main network operators. So, effectively the survey includes all UK mobile operators.
